No huge loss. Plugged a gap last season, but has been lacking this season.
Here is my question. Russell as DoF extended his contract in the summer? Why? Same with Khan, why? Almost like there is no proper direction at all or Russell is shit at his job.
To be fair,at the end of last season, securing his signature was seen as a good thing by most

I concur - the defensive midfielder has been found lacking this season playing as a #8 but half as lacking as Cotterill playing deep. Ofoborh is a more than adequate defensive midfielder for this level - we all saw that last season. Kennedy is the one wrong here, no more, no less.

There has obviously been a falling out between Kennedy and Ofoborh since he was hauled off in the Walsall game. If he isnt making the bench in the U21 Cup down at Exeter then he is as good as gone. For his own sake, he needs to get a loan move away and get some football under his belt. A real shame as he could have been a good asset for Town.
As for tomorrow, I know it goes without saying but christ, we bloody need a win. 2-1 Barrow.

Or he's not training well enough or is not fit enough and so is not in the squads

This... for anyone questioning my "won't play for us again" post. We have all seen this before right? Numerous times, it's nothing new. You don't tout an "experienced" player for a loan move, unless you have no intentions of him being part of your playing squad. The fact that we have done it a couple of months after getting him on a new contract just sums up the disorganisation of the recruitment side of the club

But he was towards the end of last season after being out for a couple of seasons, and he was a few weeks ago when he started the season with us? I very much doubt it is as simple as that, although I agree he came back looking heavier than the end of last season, but that is on the manager and coaching staff in pre-season. Yet Kennedy felt that he was fit enough to tranform from a DMC to a box to box midfielder.. the whole thing stinks of something else.

Yep, for me something does not feel quite right about it. He started against Chesterfield, Crawley (subbed straight after he scored), Walsall (hauled off at HT), came off the bench at Crewe and has not been involved since. It could be that he is not training well, or has a knock but for Kennedy to come out and mention his previous health issues didn't sit right with me. It may have helped if he had been sitting in that DM position rather than Cotterill.

Kennedy clearly wants to play with a playmaker and two more forward players in midfield, so no place for a CDM. Ofoborh played because he was the best option before Kilkenny & Butterworth signed.
The fact that he didn’t play on Tuesday would suggest a falling out, as he would surely be a backup at the very least

That would make sense, as the manager you couldn’t let that go

Winning and falling out with players ala Di Canio is all well and good.

Being dropped from this current team would clearly be a slap in the face. Think I would have gone home as well. If correct Kennedy needs to watch himself cos things can turn septic very fast especially when you are not winning.

Yeah, he might not look back on 1 goal in 39 with any great fondness, or the 3 goals in 51 in the SPL. Maybe the stint in the Lithuanian A league for being brave enough to to move abroad. Still only 31 though & still time to finish the career at Redditch. The club took a big risk with Ofoborh. Would prefer him to play & be given a chance in his preferred position but it's a cutthroat business rightly or wrongly. He may well get a loan in NL but I'd be surprised if an EFL club were prepared to take a punt. Whatever happens, hope it works out for him.

Well put Bob, I think we took a punt on him because he was a goal machine at Redditch but that was as good as it got. I vaguely remember that he was homesick and another contributing factor why he couldn’t settle here.
