Let’s get back to basics, 4,4,2 which includes fullbacks, wingers and two up front…..

Exactly, players aren’t technically good enough to copy the elite teams.

Can we scrap the "none of the above"? The whole back 3 were pretty much faultless and Smith did his job well, unlucky to have a goal chalked off. Freckles edges it for me. Sobo impressive latterly
I like sumowhale, surprised he's not played more as looks like a proper wingback. That said the defence were not faultless. It was 2 abject teams failing to show any quality. The passing was awful, either hoofball or scared ball and alot of needless free kicks given away. Noone stood out today, it was just shite. A lackluster point was the only positive.

Smith for me, hes all elbows and wins more than he loses, the trouble is we dont send enough decent balls his way, he will score 20 this season with better crosses played to him.

Agreed. I liked Khan, and wondered if he would have worked better with this better defence we've got now. I would like to know the full story and reason behind his absence, I've probably missed the relevant information.

Fair enough, just my opinion. I'm not precious about it. Carry on, some people will be delighted if NOTA wins player of the year🙂
It could be argued the POTY is a bit of a different voting animal, compared to POTM. Where regular POTM winners might correlate with them standing a good chance of winning POTY, this award often has voting bounds beyond just the activities on the pitch. A POTY might also do shitloads of community and fan engagement, maybe does visits and appearances beyond the minimum, invests in local charities and initiatives or is just a really bloody lovely bloke et al; someone like Michael Doughty {who was both good on and off the pitch}. Depending on what individual players do throughout the season both on the pic and off the pitch, I would imagine that some would at least manage to do a bit more than NOTA off the pitch - it is the hope that kills us though of course

IF we played Ofoborh holding I think Khan would a lot in perfectly as a #8 along side Clarke. Would play to his energetic & headless chickeness strengths imo alas it’s not happening.
