It's just about how far you zoom out I guess. In the context of this season, petering out into nothingness and nothing to win but the title of "not quite our shittest season ever" this is fine.
Big picture it is of course, shit, but I can't really see why anyone who can't get away from that is still watching. There's no way you could enjoy the remainder of this season if you can't detach the 90 minutes from the general malaise at the club.
It is, to quote Good Omens, not so much a fall, but a saunter vaguely downwards.
I am still watching because I can't not, it's in my blood, i don't have a choice unfortunately. I have to just sit and watch us deteriorate until our inevitable end, i feel like I am caring for my parents  |
