Perfection is not attainable

There was a period before Macari took over that was similar in terms of the football, however it was before automatic promotion from the conference so we didn’t have that fear hanging over us.
Yes under Beamish it was terrible to watch, very similar to how we are playing now quality wise. We dabbled with the bottom 8 all season and the crowds went down to sub 2k.

It was dire but strangely far more enjoyable than it is currently, I went to evey game that season home and away because we had zero expectation back then I guess.

In the cup yes totally, but in the league it was pretty shit.

I would swap our entire team from then with the team we currently have though! at least they tried, they were limited quality wise but Town fans love a trier.

Enderby was a very underrated keeper too, liked Batty but he was too small and Emmanuel had a good season that year in midfield, would also take Hockaday and Nelson too alongside those you mention.

From a match we lost, absolutely laughable. Money kept by the club as well, doesn’t even go to charity. Anything to rinse naive supporters for minimum effort.
