Perfection is not attainable

Smith saying defending has been fantastic - I think there's two very different things. Individually, lots of effort and desire to defend, which is great, but the structural, tactical bits of defending have been fucking woeful. Still, the effort is there so this is an improvement on many recent games.

Well, this is a patched together side trying its bollocks off. Lucky to be ahead, but pleased for them. This isn't a lost the changing room performance - although quite possible of course than Flynn has lost the (far busier) physio's room instead.

Tranmere nothing special but competent and the kind of side that would beat us comfortably if we were playing poorly.

Pity we’ve got to play the 2nd half.

We don’t do 2nd half

After a couple of weeks of anonymity from our midfield, we're looking like a unit again. Hoping for a non collapse second half

Well, that wasn’t pretty. It wasn’t even good - it was desperate in place.
We’re playing like a shit, relegation threatened team scrapping for points.
…but…we are are winning, so who cares about the above?

Good to be ahead.  Would like to see more direct play.  Atleast if you are sending it into their goal it’s not near yours.  The back pass is painful

Pleasantly surprised. Okay, it wasn’t fantastic, but a patched up team battling well. Kinsella has actually looked decent for me in recent weeks

Right just blow the final whistle before they can make any subs pleas.

As well as leading the other big positive is that the bottom teams are on the evidence of this beyond dreadful so we shouldn’t need to worry about being pulled into a relegation scrap.

I know Khan is not a CB, but do you think we’ve looked a tiny bit more solid without the CBs rampaging upfield.
