To be fair 5th and 7th for a club of Newport’s stature is decent. Far better than we can currently aspire to unfortunately.

Was it Flynn, or was it the pitch?  He has said he didn't play the way he likes to because of the pitch being a ploughed field.  Maybe they got lucky, the pitch meant they had to have basic cloggers and had no option on how to play?  Now he has free reign, he creates carnage.

Kokolo LCB with Minturn RCB, Shade LWB and Hutton RWB they said on the radio.

I was thinking more about how they set-up to defend, it was atrocious, exactly like we are doing (ignoring today's selection fiasco).

Perhaps but McKirdy was tearing every defence apart during that run in.
Probably not worth fully dismissing but think the context that they had nothing to play for & we did & we were on form is worth mentioning
