Don’t want to jinx it, but think Minturn has been very good…..Then I jinxed it as he let the striker break through!

My non-expert view on Minturn is that he commits very early in defence, which means thundering tackles and good interceptions, but also the occasional absolute ricket. A more experienced defender would be wait for the attacker to commit more I think.

Similar first half to Colchester, could be more up but still glaring holes at the back. Assuming we are able to hold on to the lead well into the 2nd half then the timing of our one real sub will be all important, hopefully the bench doesn’t cost us.

HT 1-0 to Town.

Rode out luck a bit, scored a great goal and Mahoney made 3 great saves.

Kinsella looking better today, Kemp and Young lively, Austin off the pace for me.
