I don't think is a stretch to accuse us of financial instability.

No, that is the norm.

But these are not the repercussions of us overspending. Quite the opposite. We've underspent for a decade to fund Lee Powers horse hobbies and god knows whatever else.

I agree, this is (to us fans anyway) the result of underspending even if we are guilty in the past of overspending, currently this is not the case, but its tarring the club with the same brush. Its lazy but then thats what most football fans do I guess.

I was saying to someone recently that I am not sure what a normal Swindon budget would look like, as we always seem to be either extreme of it. Perhaps only 2003/2004 was a fair representation of a normal budgeted Swindon in the past 25 years, if you don't take into account seasons when parties like Terry Brady, BEST or Bill Power were involved and put extra funds in/made signings.

So the 11 pretty much picks itself then.

Mahoney, Shade, FBT, Brewitt, UGM, Hutton, Kinsella, McEachran, Kemp, Young, Austin

Bench: Ward, Minturn, Genesini, RHM and 3 kids?

Going to be a tough ride until January. And then probably a tougher ride after that

Can see players fired up to show how much they’re up for it - the inevitable red card incoming.

I’d happily never see Shade play again, if at all possible

For ages I've been in the camp where I constantly say to myself 'Shade has got something about him'

Trouble is, it's useless when he only shows it about 3 times a season.

I would say get rid, but we have nobody else. So get used to seeing him until May.

Shade is a classic example of a player who has got through the academy system on pace and power, with the hope always being he will develop a football brain along the way.
