Our dishwasher is (only) 2.5 years old and it appears to have given up the ghost. The issue seemingly is the water circuit pump. Unfortunately it's out of warranty/guarantee and these parts/replacement are quite pricy.  Bad Mood

Bearing in mind the age of it, is it worth going down the replacement pump route, or just dishing out (yes that was kind of deliberate) for a brand new one?

Definitely the pump? Just checking its not a water egress problem (blocked pipe)

Depends on which pump it needs, they generally have a drain pump and a wash/heater pump.

They are a medium difficulty to replace but a capable mechanic can do it, a drain pump is normally about £30 but a heat pump nearer £130.

If you are unable to do the repair it could well be well in excess of £160 to fix.

As Batch says check all the filters and pipes are not kinked or blocked 1st as either can stop a pump working.

I bought a new one when the trays got knackered. Trays were like 50 quid or more a pop, so I just spent 200 on a whole new machine.

Thanks for the replies all, in the end the issue wasn't the pump at all. Somehow the lever that stops the water supply to the dishwasher had moved which was stopping any water getting to the machine. This has now been rectified, thanks YouTube! Smiley

Yeah - October is a pretty pricy month as it is with a few annual payments taking place as well as the extra travel day to London starting.

A nice bit of relief for sure Smiley
