I'm back for this one so we better win.
A quick look at the Grimsby forum and their match thread is 5 pages of moaning about prices.

Yeah. The cost of travelling and booze and they moan about an extra £2 on a ticket.

My first of missing 4 games. Piece if piss, 4-1.

£27 is too much for a ticket to be fair, especially for away fans. £20s plenty.

Grimsby since their return to the league travel in very good numbers for L2, last season they brought 565, they took 1,064 to Wrexham last week and 675 to Walsall a few weeks back.

For those who wish to read about the cost of our ticket prices its all here, a few are understanding but so many saying they wont go because its a couple of quid more than other grounds.

https://forum.thefishy.co.uk/Blah.pl?m-1694457001/s-0/

The ironic thing is that a season ticket at Swindon is £359 and at Grimsby its £420!

https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/all-efl-league-two-teams-in-order-of-season-ticket-prices-ranked/#tranmere-rovers---pound-440

Also many clubs charge more than we do for matches.

https://www.football-stadiums.co.uk/leagues/league-two/

But also I do agree £20 is more than enough for L2 matches, but to moan about us specifically is a bit pathetic, like Walsall fans last week.

MKD, Crewe, Colchester and AFCW all charge more for match day tickets than we do.

Walsall, Sutton, Morecambe, Gillingham and Accrington all within £2 of that price and some of those offer uncovered seating/standing with a poor view.

A lot depends on what you get as well, Morecambe was £25 but it was seated (not ridiculously tightly unlike some grounds) and under cover, pretty sure when we went to Barrow a couple of years back it was over £20 on a tight terrace where you couldn't see the whole pitch?

I am aware of this just stating the fact that at home they pay more than we do and are in the top 2 for charging their own fans the most for season tickets.

Stick them on the Bank. Charge them £20. Let the weather Gods decide.
