That'll do.

Says something that one guy scored four goals and he's not an absolute lock for this vote.

Has to be Young for the four. Kemp and Khan both superb as well.

I am in 3 minds, Khan was superb, Kemp was superb and Young scored 4 goals.

Brewitt also very good as was FBT and Mahoney near faultless.

Agreed on Brewitt. Very good when left exposed in the first half.

It's Khan, Kemp and Young in the top three. Also though McEachran was very industrious and nobody really had a bad game, even all five subs had a moment. Caveat that Crawley were absolutely shot by 2-0, of course.

Kemp. Young finished but Kemp delivered.

Hard not to give it to Young considering he scored 4, but Kemp was sublime today and he got my vote.

Easier to call out the negatives than the positives today:

Mahoney - Pulled off one superb save and I think he got a hand on the one where he was caught upfield back pedaling to his area. Dealt with all the routine stuff well. Looked solid
Hutton - Looked good going forward and linked well with Khan, Kemp, UGM and McEachran. Couldn't get the ball to Austin though
UGM - Not bad, but probably his worst game for us. First 10-15 mins he was all over the shop. Improved considerably after that and was much steadier.
FBT - Solid. Carried the ball out of defence well, as per normal. But did it EVERY time he got the ball. Needs to calm it down or it will lead to mistakes
Brewitt - Excellent today. Didn't see him do anything wrong.
Khan - Again, it took him a while to get into the game. But when he did, he was excellent.
Uwakwe - Showed us that there is a player in there. Lots more movement and good touches. Best performance thus far. I thought he started to fade towards the end though. Maybe with more fitness he will be even better.
McEachran - I thought he did all of the dirty stuff as a holding midfielder very well. Covered a lot of ground
Young - Quiet first have but superb positioning and finishing in the second half
Kemp - Everything went through him. Utter class today. Wins MotM for me, as without him we wouldn't have been 1-0 up and he set up Young for two too. He was a class above everyone else on the pitch.
Austin - Tied up a defender and made space for Young and Kemp. Unselfish.

Subs:
Wakeling - Didn't really impress. Whether he was dazed after the body check I don't know. Wouldn't be surprised to see him go out on loan somewhere.
Shade - He didn't have long, but could have had at least one more goal. He also defended one attack well.
Minturn - Ironically, made us look stronger by FBT not going marauding. Although, on one occasion when he pushed forward, he lost the ball and they could have scored. Good to get minutes, but he isnt the answer (yet)
RHM - I thought he might have run riot when he came on. One chance that he put wide. I don't remember anything else

Seems churlish not to give it to Young but Khan was stupendous today - best performance for us by miles.

Again, not one player had a bad game but the first half the defence parted easier than a 2 bob hooker.

Second half much more together. God knows why we can’t play more like that for 90 minutes.

Still, if the ethos is ‘we’ll score more than you’ I’m all for it.

Looking forward to Donny!

Totally agree, has to be Young for the 4 goals, but he was pushed very close by Kemp, Brewitt and a very close second by Khan - in the first half he was immense and totally ran the midfield, giving a solid basis and generating confidence for those ahead of him !

Young. Obvious choice.

Just a mention for George McEachran.
Dictates the play along with Khan but did an awful lot of covering work yesterday.
An important cog in the machine whose efforts will largely go unnoticed in games.
Has the potential to develop into a very good all round midfielder.

McEachran had a very ropey first 10 but really grew into the game for sure.

Same with Hutton and Dokes, both unsteady first 20 mins or so but both grew into the game considerably.
