Super manager Scott Lindsey brings the giants of Sussex to the CG this weekend.
Creepy have started off OK this season, although 3 out of 4 games have been at home. Their only away league match to date was a draw at Salford.

We should win this, but any silly defending may cost us.

Swindon 4-4 Creepy att: 8,772 (297 away)

Our most difficult game to date.
Crawley, most people's pick for relegation, but have started well and by all accounts were unlucky to lose against Gillingham.
No complacency and the fans will need to do their bit.

Crawley drew at Salford. Their defeat was home to Gillingham.

I saw them play Franchise, and I strongly expect a Swindon win.

I'm going for a statement win.

5-2 Town. Austin hat-trick.

Crawley race into a 2-0 lead. Box entries galore. Max chest thumping. "Lindsey, Lindsey give us a wave" from their fans etc.

Then it all goes wrong for them, culminating in a chippy interview where he doesn't look at the camera.

Swindon have met Crawley 19 times, winning just 5 times and drawing 7 and losing 7 times, scoring 26 and conceding 23 goals.

In the 9 games at the CG Swindon have only won 3 times with 2 draws and 4 defeats, scoring 13 and conceding 12 goals.

Since 2010 it has been LWWDLLLDW

Last season Austin and Cain scored in the last game of the season to give us a 2 goal lead at HT and they scored a pen in the 2nd half with the game finishing 2-1 to Town in front of 10,450 with Creepy bringing a respectable 528 fans.

6 of that starting Crawley team are no longer at the club and they have brought in 13 new signings in the Summer.

Just 2 of the starting players for Swindon are no longer at the club, Brynn in goal and Laviner at LB.

Early season favourites for relegation Crawley currently sit happily in 8th place after 4 league games with 2 wins and 1 draw, scoring just 4 goals and conceding 3 so far. 5 games 2w 1d 2l in all games.

By comparison we sit in 13th place and have played 3 league games with 1 win and 2 draws so far scoring 9 and conceding 8, 2 points behind our opponents with a game in hand. 5 games 1w 4d 0l (in 90 mins).

In their 5 games so far Crawley have
L2 Crawley 1-0 Bradford
LC Exeter 2-1 Crawley
L2 Salford 1-1 crawley
L2 Crawley 2-1 MKD
L2 Crawley 0-1 Gillingham

In our 5 games so far
LC Peterborough* 1-1 Swindon
L2 Swindon 2-2 Crewe
L2 FGR 1-2 Swindon
L2 Wrexham 5-5 Swindon
EF Swindon 2-2 Arsenal*

Crawley have spread their 4 goals between 4 players.

We have 2 players Dan Kemp and Jake Young both on 3 goals each and 4 other players are on a single goal so far.

This season they have been playing either 3421 or 3412 with Darcy sat in the number 10 role and Conroy in the middle of a back 3 with ex Town loanee Kellan Gordon at RWB. They also have Ben Gladwin and Anthony Grant in their squad but both have yet to make an appearance so far this season.

Crawley have a 58% average possession
14 shots per game
3 shots on target per game
4 corners per game

Against them the average
11 shots per game
4 on target shots per game
5 corners per game

By comparison

Swindon have a 53% average possession
16 shots per game
6 shots on target per game
5 corners per game

Against us the average
18 shots per game
8 on target shots per game
6 corners per game

Stats look fairly similar but we average more shots on target per game but we also average more shost on our goal per game. Crawley will not be a pushover at all and looks a draw on paper and current form of both teams.

I see the Creepy fans all think they will turn us over on Saturday, theres confidence for you!

Also how about irony, Creepy fans hinting that they are lucky to have Wagmi and not Clem in charge!  and a subtle dig at paying our ticket prices, thats because you are visiting a proper league ground not a pokey little dump.

I wonder if he will have that smug look on his face  again as he's looks up at the Crawley fans and comments on how magnificent their support is!

Trains on strike again,  could well reduce the numbers,  going for 9,225 with around 250 creepies watching a Swindon 3-1 win.
