Thank you to Red Frog for doing this for the last couple of years  - you can compare and contrast with last year's results here.

We've already done an overall player of the season vote, but here are the summarised results of the 51 MoM votes we've done this season - 46 league games and five cup games, the minimum number we could have played as we did not progress in any competitions.

There were 2,260 votes over the season in the 51 games, compared to:

2021/22: 2,778 (56 games)
2020/21: 2,151 (49 games)

41 players were eligible for voting in at least one game (i.e. made an appearance), of which only three (Dworzak, Parsons, Massey) received no votes at all.

Overall Winners (including anyone with 100 votes or more)
1st Frazer Blake-Tracey - 243 votes
2nd Jonny Williams - 213 votes
3rd Saidou Khan - 207 votes

Sol Brynn - 201 votes
Ben Gladwin - 161 votes
Remeao Hutton - 158 votes
Jacob Wakeling - 148 votes
Rushian Hepburn-Murphy - 138 votes
George McEachran - 104 votes

Votes Per Game winners: (min 5 games)
1st Frazer Blake-Tracy 7.15
2nd Ben Gladwin 7.00
3rd George McEachran 6.50
4th Rushian Hepburn-Murphy 5.75
5th Saidou Khan 5.59

Lowest Votes Per Game: (min 5 games)
1st Joe Tomlinson 0.50
2nd Matheiu Baudry 0.54
3rd Ricky Aguiar 0.54
4th Tyrese Shade 0.62
5th Dylan Kadji 0.83

Most MoMs
Frazer Blake-Tracy - 8
Jonny Williams - 6
Sol Brynn, Rushian Hepburn-Murphy - 5
Jacob Wakeling, Saidou Khan - 4
Remeao Hutton - 3
Tom Brewitt, Jake Cain, Ronan Darcy, Ben Gladwin, Marcel Lavinier, George McEachran - 2
Charlie Austin, Tom Clayton, Cian Harries, Luke Jephcott - 1

Highest % of vote in one game:
90% Austin Rochdale A
83% RHM Mansfield H
81% Khan Grimsby H
78% Brynn Leyton Orient H
76% FBT Newport A

So, much to nobody's surprise, the TEF Player of the Season for 2022/23 is Frazer Blake-Tracy. He also took 62.8% of the overall season poll vote, so this seems fair enough.

If anyone wants to do further analysis or check my maths, here's the spreadsheet used: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1a9Sjyp624Ri4WAimmx5mcARQ92rBUJTt/edit?usp=sharing&ouid=115289053296445071910&rtpof=true&sd=true

Here's to next season being a bit less shit.

Interesting to see how lacking in impact the Tomlinson loan was.

That said he looked good when he came on for the last game. If we are playing 352 he might be worth a punt.

TBF he only played 500 minutes in total, completing just 4 full 90 min appearances, subbed off once and used as a late sub twice in his 7 appearances.

Shade is the outlier there - all the other low scorers didn't play very much. Shade played 44 games, including 20 starts. He got 26 votes total, 9 of which were in two PJT appearances. No votes at all 29 times.

Ouch. Largely in line with my opinion of his worth!

Top work.
Only a small thing, but noticed on the spreadsheet the Grimsby home score reads 3-0.

How is Brynn on highest % of votes for the Orient game and not Northampton?

Also surprised Gladwin is so high. Thought he had a few good games early in the season but that was it.

Vs Northampton MacDonald got a decent % of the vote - more than half of the votes he got all season actually (12 out of 21)

Gladwin got 67% of his votes in our wins in the first half of the season - basically when he was good, we were good. The only players who got a higher % of their votes in wins were MacDonald (81%) and Jephcott (89%).

Yeah, that context makes it make a lot more sense really.

Great work Nemo. Good to see the spreadsheet in good hands. The TEF poll doesn't lie.
