MPermit the Frog?

Must be a leap of faith. Still would go well with the green away kit.

If true, it might please those who've been calling for a bit of green on the shirt

Edit: apparently MiPermit were on our shorts last season. I had no idea.

I find it interesting that despite this being mentioned on the comms yesterday about First City;
"Swindon Town FC Commercial Manager, James Watts, commented: "We are delighted that First City have agreed to continue sponsoring Swindon Town FC for another season and I would like to thank Stephen Trowbridge not only for his continued support but also for agreeing to allow a new sponsor to come on board as our headline partner in a record deal for the club."

There is absolutely no mention of it being a record deal on the official website in the comms today. (apparently it was on twitter, although I haven't seen) You'd think it would be something to shout about, it's great news.

EDIT - they've changed it now, fair play.

A record deal compared to what ? under Clem or in the clubs history ?

I wonder if the work they are doing in the car park is linked or separate, you would not have thought they would take in one hand and give back in the other.

It's a bit vague and to me lacks a bit of fanfare. - it states 'Swindon Town are delighted to announce that MiPermit will become our new headline partner for the 2023/2024 in record club agreement'

Possibly the latter given inflation since the Andrew Black days when we were doing alright with sponsors.

Possibly the latter given inflation since the Andrew Black days when we were doing alright with sponsors.

I think the 'big name' sponsors like Samsung, EA Sports and Four Four Two Magazine didn't actually bring in a lot of income I was told. Around that time we had that stupid Samsung win a contract thing so I think some of the sponsorship was in exchange for exposure rather than actual dollar and cents.

I'd imagine Burmah or Nationwide would have been our biggest sponsor and they were yonks ago so given inflation, this crowd could well be the biggest.

I don't know a lot about Mipermit and it's kind of irrelevant but I googled them out of curiosity and out of 65 google reviews they have an 'impressive' rating of 1.3/5
