Been saying this for years now.

So many teams play in red and white but we used to have a little touch of green just to look a bit different.

Although back then in the 90s & 00s half our club crest was green. Now it’s red, white with gold trimming. So I can see why a lot manufacturers wouldn’t think to add green to any STFC design.

I'd actually love us to go back to the 90s badge. Felt unique.

And some green trim would be very smart.

On the topic of DGI, I thought the blue on that kit was a dark green when I first saw it. Why the fuck we had blue on our kit i'll never know.

Some of the t shirts in the club shop looked like a pepsi logo.

The away kit was lovely though.

Same as this year with black. Black has absolutely nothing to do with us.

I like this seasons kit but would like it a whole lot more if the black trim was white & green.

Nostalgia has come back around on that badge for a lot of people, but its an objectively worse badge. It doesn't mean anything.

I'm not overly fussed on the inclusion of green, but if it was it probably would have improved it.

We did have black trim on a lot of our early kits, but that doesn't mean I like it anymore.

Always hated that badge. Looked too plain and streamlined for a football club - which ironically is what’s in vogue now with a lot of clubs making their club crest more block colours and less intricate design.

I much prefer our current badge to the 90s effort but again, like kits if the train and outlines were green instead of gold it would feel a lot more STFCish if that makes sense.

Maybe it is the gold that annoys me. Or that it is never embroidered. Somehow I just think of the new one as 'cheap'.

The train should definitely be green.

I was rewatching the 1997 Portsmouth game earlier and the green socks were a great look!

Did those 'match worn' shirts (which were oddly advertised as from the Northampton away game) ever get sold? And how much did they go for?
