Cain is a bag of mostly shite, so taking him off is usually an upgrade, however Kadji must have been eating the stuff since birth.
Cain was MotM today.

He is quite good when given time and space.

He doesn’t seem to like managing us, and as a fan base, in general, haven’t really taken to him. He won’t walk if he has a half decent contract, so I suspect we’re stuck with him.
We haven't taken to him because the results have been awful.

I'm torn - he's clearly underperformed but there's many a manager who have adapted in their second season after a poor first stint.   I'm not a fan of rookie managers, at the very least they need an experienced number 2.

…not lose every week?
Maybe win a few games?

What’s your point?
You asked what we think Morris should be doing with this squad.
I answered.

I don’t think it’s unrealistic to expect him to get this squad to win a few games. Lindsey managed it ffs

Any decent manager would have got more out of these players.

Promotion a step too far probably with the squad we have but he should have done better than 4 wins in 18- that’s sackable form

The problem is us fans will be expecting promotion again next season because we're one of the big teams in league 2 just like Pompey, Sheff Wednesday & Derby etc in league one. There are no guarantees in football so with an average squad, average budget and inexperienced owner & coaching team I'm expecting much of the same again

Agree with above posts. This is by no means a good squad, however 4 wins in 18 is absolutely criminal. Some absolutely shocking sides such as Rochdale, Harrogate and Colchester have won more in that time. This certainly isn’t a top 7 squad, but it isn’t one that should have relegation form either.

Morris:
- Weren't great for the whole game
- Few and far between opportunities
- Element of control in first half. There were a couple of opportunities (Jephcott) but we were poor
- Goals disappointing. We need to react as defenders
- Sol hasn't spilled hardly any shots since Moriss has been here (Yes he has!) but defenders have to anticipate. Thomas was in acres of space
- All too familiar feeling. We were all over the shop
- For their second there were 7 of our players and only 2 of theirs there!
- Typical of how we are in conceding goals late
- Why aren't we learning? Experience is vital. Need people who are used to it and have character. Until we get more experience, personality and character when teams are coming at us at the end of games, then we are going to give games away.
- U23 teams vs L2 teams. Thats what the U23s do. We havent got experience
- Can you coach it? You would like to give time when you have maybe a few young lads. But when you are all young lads. Its not something you can coach instantly.
- Its not just age and experience. We could still do better with the lack of experience we have. They have had enough opportunities to have learned from this season
- Individuals? Clayton did a few good things. Elements to Khan and Cain too. But not enough for Morris to say anyone did well
- At 1/2 time Morris said they were below par. They had gears to go up to make in more enjoyable. But we didnt get going
- Crewe changed formation a couple of times, but we could have dealt with it better on the pitch
- Do you rip the squad up? Can you do that?: Made it clear where the squad needs to be changed and more experienced. Whether we can do that is up in the air.
- Good to have young players to develop. But need a better balanced squad with experience and physicality
- At the moment its an element of them learning on the job
- Are you talking to Sandro?: You need to talk to those who are in charge of the club. Not Morris's place to say anything. If the club feels there is something they need to say they will.

It’s all very well Morris saying his young players need to learn and stop making the same mistakes.

Look at yourself, mate. Clearly your sub making with 10-15 minutes to go has been the harbinger of doom.

Not read back, but not many pages of torture to plough through this time.

Well, that performance pretty much sums up the way it's gone, since January anyway.

Last rites next Monday. Can't come soon enough.

History shows that we don't tend to linger in L2.
Quietly confident that we'll all be as happy as pigs in shit at this time next season.

…and if his young players are struggling shouldnt he be talking them through it from the sidelines as best he can.

He just seems to want to blame the make up of the squad & take none of the responsibility himself.

Along the lines of “the nobber deserves that” straight after Crewe took the lead. Then deleted it.

That answer to the Sandro question obviously means he has gone.
