Bizarre way of doing it though.
Morris has done a pre match presser. He could have just as easily said there and then Austin won’t be travelling because with three games in a week and him being 33 he needs a rest and / or he’s got a slight injury.
This information coming out via a ‘journalist’ a few hours before kick off - smacks of someone not liking Morris and / or question the legitimacy of the alleged reasons.
And just maybe a journo making a non story credible? |

To be fair a lot of people seemed to know about this before Ryan Whelan reported it. So someone had obviously got wind of it.
Someone at the club does seem to play politics through Whelan though. If he reported on multiple clubs like Nixon or was a local journo I would understand, but I still don’t get why he is the chosen one.
I do agree with DiV, this could have been mentioned very easily by Morris yesterday, as it was obvious it would cause uproar.

Maybe a parting dig from Sandro to his mate to report on, putting a negative spin on it because he wasn't a player that he signed. Who knows, and in the grand scheme of things, who cares.
To me it makes sense to give him a rest, and if you give him a rest he should not travel, it should be complete rest. Most fans have been crying out for plenty of changes once we are out of the running, it surprises me that these changes over a bank holiday weekend have surprised so many.

I have heard similar from friends at the club, he seems to have upset pretty much every player. |

Would like to see what Tomi can do today.
Strange that he only got one start at Harrogate & that was it, unless he picked up an injury straight after?
(I'm doing my best to forget this season).
Might make sense to give Cain & Clayton a go, particularly with family & friends in attendance.
Cain in particular needs some game time.
Team selection will be out by the time I hit the Post button, so expect none of them to feature!
