Tomlinson is not a centre back, why is he playing there. Why is Wakeling playing wing back? He’s a liability there. This whole line up is puzzling.
100% this.

Yet again another team with experience dictating play.

Jesus! Just got to the bit where we left virtually every player unmarked in our box and the fired it against the post and off the rebound passed it to the CF who decided to put it into Brynn’s hands rather than the net! 😮

It does feel a bit like Morris picks a formation and then shoves the players into it, rather than picking a formation that suits the squad. Maybe that's fine in the context of this season, but suggests that we'll need to do a fair bit of recruitment in the summer to give him the players he actually wants.

Looking more like 3 at the back again today so far.

With only one recognised central defender.
Shocking tactics.

That's the first time I've heard Austin mentioned!

Lindsey was criticised by me for doing exactly this early season.

Pick a formation to suit the available players not the other way when players are of limited ability and experience as we are especially so.

But that would mean playing 1-7-2

I guess the key difference is that Lindsey had the squad he wanted (at least in theory), Morris inherited one.
