Ok, just because my recent knowledge for football isn’t a patch on what is was / still is from the 90s

After Joe Tomlinson yesterday - how many other players have scored on multiple debuts for the Town?
The only person that even springs to mind is Austin but that's on a technicality.

I thought Austin but his first goal for the club came in his first start.
He’d already made 3/4 sub appearances.

I checked Austin, Cox, Ajose, Doyle & Yates but all negative.

Both JTs debut goals came in February as well.

…obviously he’s a bit versatile and a very attack minded player but primarily a defender. Makes the feat very impressive.

How tf did we miss him…!!
He should probably be the long over due story of the local youth team lad done good

Longer term I'm wondering how and if we can fit Tomlinson and FBT in the same side, as they're likely going to be two of our best players next season.

Seems obvious Tomlinson left wing back and FBT left of a three.

FBT and Clatyon together as two left footers in a back four doesn't seem to work great but maybe Clatyon as the middle of a three and an experience right footed CB next to him, would work better.

it was weird. can't have been more than 10 minutes in.

WTF seriously? booing us already for passing the ball around? I fucking despair.

It was 6 minutes in. Fucking pathetic. Of course its a bit frustrating seeing the backwards passing but to boo, 6 mins into the game, take yourself outside and give yourself a talking to whoever booed.

I assume it was Ukraine.
or was it Motty

who knows
It for the victims from the last year in Ukraine.

Now we need to tie up a short term deal for an OOC centre back asap, Mariappa or Downing are 2 that spring to mind.

A few outside ones like Blackett, Wisdom, Semple, Dinzeyi, Nkumu, Thomas-Russell and Tobin several of whom have links to Chelsea could be options if we go down that route.

I understand the sentiment/comparison, but Hasney Aljofree would be more of a suitable comparison than Greer I think.

Bigger picture is, we fucked it in the window and now we’re painfully short. Adrian Mariappa would be good wouldn’t he? go and get him sharpish 👀….

Mentioned Mariappa earlier in thread and I reckon thats the most sensible shout, hopefully we get it done before Orient

Harrogate were poor but that said, its three points and back to back wins.

Fortunate to win at Salford, unlucky to get fuck all at Sutton, this was a fully deserved victory.

Missed the booing (and the first goal).

Easy for fans to delight in great play with cheers ad applause....bit tricky when you are frustrated with the tippy tap fucking about from Brynn out to defenders....we should of conceded last week from it. LEARN FFS!!

Booing is not the answer but neither is sending a letter to Morris pointing out the obvious.

The result was never in doubt.

Big old game next week, if we get anything out of that it will a right result.

I personally feel its gone with all the planets aligning ref suspension, injury and a wank January window...but i will be delighted to have this post rammed down my throat at the end of the season.

On a side note i popped into the Bug and Spider on the way home and met a fella that took his kids to see the Donny home game after a few years break....he said he wont go back..shame he picked that game!!

True, but if he’d have been honest he would have said they would have got something if they weren’t so shit.

That said they weren’t much better at theirs and managed to beat us 3-0, just shows how poor we were that day

So you could have given away 2 goals and still got something? no!
So you could have given away 1 goal and got something? no!

Came for a 0-0 and got it other than the 3 goals we scored!

I'd imagine it's a very short list.

If there were over 72 fans there, 70 must have pulled the "on shoulders, hide under long overcoat trick". Northerners and their thrifty ways.

i read on twitter the 72 included their squad and directors. makes sense as i counted around 40odd in the away end just before kick off.

another season of this sort of stuff to look forward to.
