Half time. We're ahead against 3rd in the table, happy days.

On the other hand, it's absolute daylight robbery against a very decent looking Northampton side, who dropped off a little after we scored our goal but have still been by some distance the better team. Brynn having a stormer and we're defending crosses into the box fairly well considering, they've just had an awful lot of opportunities. xG on that half will be something like 1.5 - 0.2 I imagine, but hey, we're winning. Fingers crossed it stays that way!

Pretty poor half. Look toothless as per usual, thankfully Brynn has been brilliant as he has been all season to keep us ahead. Iandolo needs to come off. Don’t think I’ve seen him have a game where he hasn’t given away at least 3 needless free kicks in horrific positions. Brilliant that we’re ahead however, and if we can get some service into Jephcott, we may be able to get a rare smash and grab win…

Play this same game with Kovar or similar standard keeper in goal and we'd be looking at a double digit loss tonight.

Not entirely sure we deserve to be winning, but I'll take it!

soft shot by Jonny, but look what
happens when you shoot. Good finish by shade on follow up

Brynn probably our mom so far tells the story

but I don't care if we get lucky, we need. the 3 points

How are we winning this one?

Lavinier a left back is not.

McDonald has been atrocious with the ball and some panicked clearances.

Shade took his goal well but is always where he shouldn’t be and never seems to out pace or out muscle anyone, surely his two attributes.

Midfield static getting each other’s way.

Still, worked a goal and relyin on some poor finishing and excellent keeping.  It’s a shit enough division for that to work at times.

Surprised to see Odimayo at LB as hes so right footed, he looks a weak link there for us to get at 2nd half, Shade has beaten him a couple of times already.

Official stats has Northampton with 3 shots on target.

Very clearly incorrect.

Hilariously undeserving lead at half time. Not a cats chance in hell will we survive the second half though.

Brynn MotM by far.
McDonald, FBT, Lavinier, Hutton all mega busy.

Khan has been involved a bit.

Shade and Gladwin have drifted into the game every now and again.

Williams seems to be playing too deep. Has 2 runs, one of which Shade scored from

Iandolo seems to be all over the shop. Running around different parts of the pitch, but not involved.

Jephcott running around but normally miles away from the ball.

I just texted the exact same thing on our STFC WhatsApp group! Need to change something at half time…Tactics or personnel.
