Iandolo has been good last couple of games & deserves his place.

Reed unlucky to be dropped to bench.
Darcy, fair enough & arguably Wakeling as well.

Decent options off the bench if SL decides to utilise them.

See, I only actually think 2 of them are any good.

Won’t argue with that. However, don’t think any of them are as bad as they have been this season when put together. Really strange as every combination tried so far has taken me back to the Linganzi James Dunne midfield of 17/18 where you would do well to sit through 30 minutes without wanting to rip your season ticket up.

It’s the midfield shape that’s all wrong rather than the personnel (imo)

We all know Jephcott does not play well on his own up front, I just wish he didn't keep putting Williams in a front 3 he is clearly better in midfield

Agreed as per my post on when we were most effective last season.

But lets face it, SL didnt recruit to play 433 did he.

Spot on. Also it's these type of games and formations where i feel sorry for players Like Jephcott/Wakeling. None of that midfield will be linking up with him leaving them so isolated yet all we will hear is how shit Jephcott is etc. I think i make that 4/5 players out of position there when there is absolutely no need for it. 1-0 win incoming by the way

Even with that XI we’d be better off going 4231

Brynn

Hutton
MacDonald
FBT
Lavinier

Khan
Iandolo

Shade
Gladwin
Williams

Jephcott

It's three games in a week, I'm not going to get too hung up on rotations for this one. We'll see if they come back for the next game I guess.

Had the Radio Northampton build up on briefly and heard Jon Brady talk about the Mansfield game - you'll be pleased to hear he was talking about the number of box entries (!) they had. It's catching!

Right. I'm ready to be entertained!

I only have Northampton comms, so very interested to see what the Town comms are saying about rumours, why Reed isn't playing, reasons for benching etc.

I've only just turned into BBC Wilts so no idea if they discussed Austin, Khan & Reed.

It’s not beyond the realms of possibility but if we win our next 2 games - I know, I know - and Cobblers also lose on Sunday to Orient we’ll only be 2 points behind them.

It’s mad.
