Any pre match pub suggestions?

Walter Tull I'm led to believe. That's where I think I'll be heading, my closest game of the season, should be a good atmosphere in the away section at least.

They're much better than us. That, added with the idiot we have in charge, suggests a heavy defeat.

They've been taking a sneaky look at TEF😀

Supposed to be 1372 coming from Swindon and expect Mansfield to bring good support next month, I think it is the attraction of seeing a 4 sided ground. You would expect Leyton Orient to sell out the game on Monday so these 3 games should boost the average home attendance.
Looking on their forum earlier, they are in meltdown following not just Boxing Day's game but that being more than a contributing factor.

JJ will probably clarify, but I think we usually do OK at away at Cobblers.
14 wins and 13 draws losing 29 of the 56 matches at Norfamton so far. Our biggest win was 6-2 back in 1968 and our biggest defeat was a 0-6 way back in 1932.

Since they moved to Sixfields we have played 11 times there with us winning 4, drawing 4 and losing 3 times, scoring 14 times and conceding 13.

I just cant see beyond a defeat.

Got a feeling we see real hiding here today, unfortunately. I think Lindsey needs a big few results as with no game for 2 weeks after the Colchester game that's a long time for the club to sit on making a decision on him

Expecting a shoeing at the Cobblers tonight. 3-1 is my prediction.

We also beat Coventry there as well, late Michael Smith goal if I remember rightly.

But not going there with much expectation this time

Pre match display of natural beer finishing in The Cordwainer.
Very much looking forward to the restoration of the only King Charles that matters.
Yes, it could all go wrong but that shouldn't tarnish his legacy.

No trains into Northampton today.
No problem, our state of the art fully integrated public transport system can cope with that.
Had to slum it on a National Express coach service from Coventry in the end.
And Watford Gap services are nowhere near Watford.

A history of fire, plague & conflict in Northampton so the locals should be able to survive an evening of Lyndseyball.
Not so sure about some of the away support or iFollowers though.

Unusual for a gap to develop between the top 3 & the rest in L2. One of them could still fall away of course.
Maintaining a consistent level of mediocrity might be enough to secure a play off spot this season.
Who, if anyone, will be prepared to go all in during the transfer window.

This will be our 5th consecutive fixture on 29th December.
Just one goal scored in the previous 4.

Nothing wrong with the style of play per se, it just needs to be executed much better than it has been so far.

Having said, have a feeling that we'll do ok tonight.

The away end this evening has sold out so @Official_STFC fans - please don't travel without a ticket. Tickets do remain available for home supporters but please arrive early

Interesting view on Charlie Austin on the Cobblers forum.

Charlie Austin has been playing for Brisbane Roar in Australia and he has only just left them presumably because he was next to useless. I think he scored 2 goals. I'd rather have Hylton.

Interesting view on Charlie Austin on the Cobblers forum.

While Charlie's legs may have gone and it remains to be seen, they also didn't rate Sam Parkin or Simon Cox, pay them no attention.
