Last time I went on a non work basis was 21 years ago when Danny Invincible missed a last minute penalty.

Says it all really considering its about 20 miles as the crow flies from here, had to stand in with the home fans that day as well as it was advance tickets only (I assume as about 50% of the ground was shut) and they wouldn't sell me an away ticket to a Lancashire Postcode!

Edit - in finding that the website also tells me that coincidentally McMahon rolled up here from Man City 28 years ago today!

No Williams Saturday. Clayton, Macdonald and RHM all been training for a couple of weeks and are fine. Harries out until March.

Return of Clayton-MacDonald partnership would be welcome.

Can't help wonder whether the Williams line is a misdirection and we'll see him on the bench at least. He's not played a minute.

Lindsey sounds pretty emphatic

‘Williams is not available, he will be back late and not in training.’

I dunno if I’m Lindsey I’m telling everyone Williams in unavailable regardless of whether he is or not….

I mean he’s only been gone a few weeks and he’ll have been training out there with Wales anyway.
Probably too gifted to not include him if we have the chance even if he hasn’t seen his team mates for 3 weeks and is jet lagged.

I guess he's put no specific prep work in for this particular game

I'd have him on the bench if he's back today

No Williams Saturday(bad). Clayton(good), Macdonald(good) and RHM(good) all been training for a couple of weeks and are fine. Harries out until March(good).
The good outweighing the bad there.

Appreciate not liking a player, but describing a 4 month injury as good seems a little harsh.

He was actually starting to look competent before he got injured. (ignoring the debacle at Stockport, but the whole team sounded terrible there)

We really need to be forming solid, consistent centre back partnerships. All these injuries are not helping so it's good news that Clayton and MacDonald are on their way back.
