'Meh' first game. Didn't think Cameroon showed enough 'joie de v'ivre' to get anything out of that game. I fancied the Swiss to surprise many before the WC.

What is Vincent Kompany doing in Qatar as a pundit.
Has he given the Burnley players the month off? Are they not training or has he just got his coaches doing it?
Strange.

The BBC seem to have a cast of thousands punditing out there so I wonder whether he is only out there for  short while?

Huge fan of Uruguay having two centre-backs aged 36 and 35. No substitute for experience. Godin has 160 international caps!

South Korea's back line are all called Kim! And they have another one on the bench. It will be interesting to see how the commentators differentiate.

15 Kim
4   Kim
19 Kim Young-Gwon

Some of the 0-0s haven't been that bad. That one was though.

Now, from one talented side with a statue up front living off his reputation... to Portugal, who I'm sure will be very different.

The official stats said there were zero shots on target, the first time ever since these stats began, the worst previously was Portugal v Ivory Coast which had 2

It’s been very poor fare so far today. Much as it usually is in first games at a WC.
