Shame that Hutton didn’t finish that off initially, ridiculously good goal at this level. Fine pass for Williams in any case.

This could go either way, cracking game.

Really enjoyable half, we're giving it a good go and have clearly mixed things up tactically.

On our side, apart from the diamond, we've also gone a fair bit higher tempo and more direct than usual, we're crossing earlier and getting the ball forward from the back faster. We're looking a bit shaky at the back, but we're playing super high full backs, plus our defence is composed of our third and fourth choice CBs, a backup LB who is really a midfielder and a RB who is about as attacking as I've ever seen. Considering all that, it's not too bad at all.

For our goals, it's notable that we're following up shots and twice now we've scored off loose balls in the box - really positive stuff. Gladwin's ball for Hutton for the second - if he meant that, it's absolutely brilliant.

Mansfield are an interesting side - there's some big boys, they're physical and they appeal for absolutely everything which must make them a nightmare to ref. There's more to them that that though, some genuinely good footballers mixed in there as well and also pretty high tempo, with the odd exception of restarts in their own half which they take an absolute age over. Must be about getting a breather I guess.

I'm sure Mansfield fans are all furious at the ref but there really haven't been any properly stinking decisions. Reckon we're getting more of the 50:50 calls, but that's probably because they're screaming their heads off at the ref at every opportunity. Can't imagine that leads to positive refereeing outcomes terribly often.

Wild game, have no idea who will come out on top but if it's half as much fun as the first half then great. High tempo game with lots of flashpoints contributing to an excellent atmosphere too.

From a Mansfield fan

‘One of the best halves of football i’ve seen in ages.

If we win with this ref then fair play to us, i’ve seen some poor refs but he’s so unbelievably biased towards swindon it’s almost a circus act.

Misses pulls, pushes, kicks from behind when we’ve the ball, yet all of a sudden some soft southern jessy falls over and it’s instance a foul.

I trust he’ll be as biased towards us in the 2nd half’

That was an enjoyable first half!
Lots of room all over the pitch for both teams to attack.
Can't call this.

We're the better side, but have defended terribly too often.  Sort that and we'll win.

Well, what a half.

Their first was poor on our part gave the ball away high up Darcy didn’t track his runner and Ellis left his man in loads of space at the far post.

Think it took them a while to work out we were playing a different formation to what they had been expecting. Our first equaliser had an air of inevitability to it happily.

Our second equaliser was beautiful. I am choosing to believe Gladwin went for the return, that must have been pass 11 or 12 though lovely move.

COYR win it!

Great pass from Darcy to Jephcott but he cant quite flick it past the keeper as he comes out.

Keeper did really well then. Darcy seems very comfortably in this set up.
