As Clem is currently mid flight on his way over i am sure he would want it to go ahead

Not given how we have played so far this season Smiley

Obviously previous performance is in no way a guarantee of future performance!

I see no reason whatsoever why anything should be postponed outside the UK, its not like we would do likewise if the king of Spain died?

Oh great, once again drop it down to the lowest level so there will be no consistency and clubs that choose to postpone (or not) will get all the shit, its like the dithering over lockdowns all over again!

With you on both points.

Further to discussions on Friday morning it has been determined that all EFL fixtures from 9-10 September will be postponed as a mark of respect by the National Sport to the passing of HRH Queen Elizabeth II

At least there is something else for everybody to get outraged about..

Good, wasn't that bothered about Swindon's game, but our lass has a game on Sunday which I could really do without so fingers crossed grass roots will follow the league lead!

What a load of bollocks.

I'm actually amazed anybody can support this decision.

Agreed, I presume on that basis shops, cinemas and pubs will also be closed.

Fair enough. No complaints.
I'd imagine that the atmosphere would have been quite subdued anyway.

It's not as if there will be a long wait until the next home game.

To avoid leaving people out of pocket, hopefully transport & accommodation providers will look favourably on requests for money back on bookings that would not normally be refundable.

Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves? Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here? Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?

Totally agree with this decision. As a mark of respect it is a must. It’s only a football match for heaven’s sake.

Absolutely this. I really struggle to understand why sport is always viewed in isolation. Those who wished to mark their respect in the method of the game being postponed could have elected to stay at home for their period of reflection, rather than putting everyone into the same basket.

Those that wish to mourn can sit at home with the curtains closed and crack on.

The rest of us should be allowed to continue as normal.
