That is a dream. He would be amazing, we must pay more than BT do every once in a while when BT show an Everton match.

…he left Everton to get into management, so…

That wasn’t great listening. Especially with mobile I follow app only giving the away comms  for me.

Sounds like that was a big step back. I did mostly agree with the “we have improved game on game” mantra. Went to sleep last week and cost the win, but thought it was better. Clearly worse today, so I hope there is no pretending otherwise.

Away comms kept repeating how slow/laboured the build up was. Even they were frustrated with it.

Sounded like a Garner home game in one of the rank patches last year. Must do better, hopefully with some match fitness in the new lot that can happen quickly.

Lindsey sounds well nervous on the radio now, he must know his head is on the block and he doesn’t have much time left.

I ask because I don’t know but was there any other options for a coach?  Was the a “good” coach out there that would have wanted to come to Swindon or was this just what was available?

honestly, nobody knows.

With the length of time it took to appoint someone already employed by the club you may infer he wasn't first choice.

who knows

Spent most of the day driving down to Poole so didn’t get much info.
Son messaged us to let us know they were down to 10 men.

So when we arrived here was disappointing to find out we couldn’t score against 10 men for 80 mins against a team that is struggling.

Afraid to say that’s just not good enough

Harris hasn't got a bad managerial record at bigger clubs maybe swap for Lindsey considering he has affection for Gillingham 😀

Unless STFC spend a sustained spell in the bottom 3, I doubt that there will be a change in management. I suspect that a mid to lower mid table finish won't be seen as particularly problematic.

it's not really the result that bothered me today. OK maybe had we scored I'd feel differently.

You can’t tell me that any of the other interviewees - if there were, indeed, any others - weren’t a better choice than Lindsey. We’re they put off by the model, the recruitment policy, the wages? Would have thought we are a fairly attractive lower league club.

We were either paying lip service with no intention of employing anyone other than Lindsey or what was on offer was very unappealing.
