First win of the season for the Town and arguably our first good performance; how much was down to the ref and how much was sheer Lyndsey nouse?

Didn't really notice him, all 4 bookings seemed fair enough, what more do you want? (He doesn't know what 10 yards is, see other thread, so deduct him 2 points for that)

Very good ref. Let the game flow.

Good referee today - can’t think of any major errors, let the game flow, and no quibble about any bookings

Another very good 7 bordering on an 8.

A less physical contest than Tuesday so not much decision making involved with letting the game flow.

Possibly part of Rochdale's current woes have been not getting stuck in enough.

Interesting to see at the end of the season the range of ratings on lose win and draw. Whilst you are more likely to lose if a ref is obvs biased. If they are just shit then surely it's 50/50

This ref won’t be in L2 for very long. Was far too composed and competent

Again a decent ref, let the game flow. A solid 7.

Be also interesting to see if we get more ‘good’ refs or ‘bad’ refs over the season.

The mantra seems to be all the refs this low down are shit. I don’t think that is necessary true, just the not so good ones stick in your mind more.

In theory the sign of a good ref is you don’t really remember them.

…..and was visibly communicating with the players.

Prob. other way round Ben. Cause and effect and all that. You are more likely to be pissed off with the ref (and in general) when we lose.

This.  Totally agree.
Don’t think anyone ever agrees with a ref for 100% of a game but yesterday’s was ok.

All true, but the worst ref we've had this season was in a drawn game.  Red Frog is right, we need to grade that ref!

Dont think we could find a grade low enough.

I suspect he'd score a round number.
