Not much to Rochdale, but a lot to like about our performance. Should be a good range of votes here I think.

Most of the team had their best performances of the season. FBT very solid, Khan had his best game, Darcy did well out of position but got to give it to Wakeling. A real annoyance for the defenders and a one man high press. A footballing wasp.

Wakeling always a threat, full effort from him always. Lots to like.

I don’t think that Brynn will get as many votes in this one

FBT probably the best of the defence, possibly Gladwin of the midfielders, no real off days from any of the starters though.

Wakeling. A goal and an assist. You can't ask for more than that from your central striker.

Tough one this time, nobody played badly, Gladwin, Khan, Wakeling, Blake-tracey and McKirdy all played well, Williams played very well 2nd half, probably Wakeling though for me.

Wakeling will (deservedly) get it

Gave my shout to Darcy for playing well out of position.

Wakeling for me, he was everywhere and just doesn’t stop. Gladwin, Khan and FBT very good also.

Darcy and Gladwin excellent today. Went for Darcy in the end due to playing him out of position.

Bit of a challenge on today’s much improved performance, several players deserving a mention but has to be Wakeling for me.

Williams was my pick,  probably influenced by his dominant 2nd half.

For a relative littl'un,  often with little close support,  Wakeling gives defenders a torrid 75 minutes.   Quite remarkable at this early stage of his senior career.

Brynn also sound -  for once his distribution was more eye catching than his stops.   He gives confidence to a very uncertain defence.

Trouble with the defence is we haven't played the same unit more than once, could argue the first half vs Salford was the same as Harrogate but Brennan wasn't right and the two WBs had swapped sides from that first game.

Clayton does look very composed from what I have seen so far and was constantly talking today, good signs.

Anyway, some good contenders for MOTM, Reed looked more like last season's edition, say what you like about the opposition but his passing radar looked to have been properly calibrated this afternoon.  Gladwin, while there will always be scares when he thinks he has more time than he actually does, looked very good, FTB was basically faultless and supported Williams well.

Has to go to Wakey-Wakey though, always alive and looking to catch the opposition snoozing.
