Bought the wife one in 2007, two years old, absolutely identical,  it was the actual model used at a show as the launch model, so was a 2008 model with a 2007 registration, full John Cooper works kit, sold it in 2009 with a renewed 3 year R & M maintenance package,  and less than twenty thousand warranted miles, full BMW service history, hate to say it mate,  struggled to get 10k for it.  Good Luck,  nice motor though, went like Shit off a shovel.

Thanks! I love the car. Have a mate in to Mercs and BMWs, had one ride in mine and got a JCW to go with his 140i. Then sold the 140 because the Mini is much more fun.

Sounds like it was a Cooper S and not a JCW? As you only put kits onto non-JCW models to make them look like it. 2nd hand JCWs my mileage go for £16k, Cooper S £13, Cooper £11, One £10. But yeah, it hasn't been immediately snapped up.

Was 100% JCW,  still got some paperwork here somewhere that proves it.  BMW wouldn’t have used it as a promotional model had it not been.  Anyway good luck with getting shot of yours.

I actually have no idea what that adds to the car.

It's a USB port and a graphic on the central display ...

The Driving Excitement pack is essentially part of the Mini Connected service – a USB interface that incorporates a number of smartphone based functions into the infotainment system of your Mini. A lot of these functions come in the form of specific apps, of which Driving Excitement is one.

As its name suggests, Driving Excitement aims to enhance the fun you have behind the wheel by offering analysis of your driving style and then making suggestions based on feedback. Then there’s also extra visuals on the in-car displays and instrument panel to show how much torque you’re using and the G-forces affecting the car (see below).
