It may have a been a financial decision. It may have been a bit of a waste having him on the wage bill when we had a wealth of fit defenders.

If this Egbo was any good would we not have signed him weeks ago?
Yes probably but I guess loan players going back have freed up wages / squad space We are now short of defenders and he’s been with the team for months so not the worst quick available option (probably)

He's either slipped under the radar or had no other offers but he could turn out to be a good signing

Chat on LS Pod made it sound like Egbo was training with us until he could re-sign somewhere else abroad. Imagine at the time they couldn't justify a contract, but were able to help out by giving him somewhere to train, which isn't that uncommon. And now, needs must.

Let's hope he takes his chance and gets a contract for next season.

Under Sheridactyl they have won 3, drawn 4 and only suffered a single defeat, last week at home to Carlisle.

He has only managed a single win in his 3 previous games at the County Ground, the 4-0 win for Carlisle in Richie Wellens 1st game in charge, the other 2 games he suffered defeat at the CG.
1-1 draw in front of 12,345 (255 Oldhams).

Uni tour complete. Mad dash back to SN1. A fifteen minute delay would be helpful.

PV's historic post reminded me of a pretty dreadful 2-0 loss in early 2001(? or 2002) to Oldham where I'm pretty sure Sheridan scored a free kick. Gonna look it up now. Yeah there we go: http://swindon-town-fc.co.uk/MatchCentre.asp?MatchID=20020103

Sheridan had way more success as a player against us. In his 13 appearances he only scored once but was on the winning side 8 times and only lost once, he was also part of that Bolton side that trounced us 7-0 that Stuart Mac cried at.
