Well what a surprise that was. Fast, incisive, urgent - everyone played well in that first half, then we generally kept it tight in the second. A high-quality performance - who topped the chart for you?

McKirdy for me. Tried his bollocks off today. Responsible for the pen, the OG and set up Williams.
Marked improvement from Gladwin too, but still the odd frustrating moments from him.

I voted Gladwin who showed quality on the ball, tucked his pen away. They seemed to give us so much space in midfield though, but I did notice Gladwin often drifted wide so credit to Garner for setting us up tactically in that way. Williams and McKirdy both honourable mentions too

There are rightly some alternatives but McKirdy for me too. Whether technically so or not, 3 "assists" as you suggest. Defensively he is always closing down and also tying up oppo defenders because he is unpredictable and rarely in anyone's pocket. Iandolo, Hunt and Odimayo built on their positive 2nd half showings at Mansfield and good to see Gladwin, Conroy and Reed also coming back from their disappointing displays there. Payne, Wollacott and better pitches on their way soon.

Tough one. But I think you have to give it to McKirdy for an energetic display with assists for all 3 goals.
Honerable mention for Gladwin, who was given room to play. Williams took his goal well and was clattered lots.
Everyone did their job today. Is that because they did well or because Vale were poor? Don't care, we won!

Gotta be McKirdy, big involvement in all 3 goals. We’d be a lower midfield team without him as he’s literally involved in every goal we score.

Gave it to Gladders as he'd put in 100% effort for the first time this season.

Gladwin was ace. Just wish he'd shoot more often.

Odimayo for me. Her didn't put a foot (or a head) wrong. But, yeah McKirdy, Gladwin, Reed and Williams also hugely impressed.

Odimayo for me, followed by McKirdy and Gladwin, any of them could have got it.

Gladwin. Although everyone did their job. Reed back to his best as well.
Just a case of getting used to the current version of Big Ben and not compare him against his previous spells here. Definitely has a role to play in this team.

You can always tell when we’ve played well as a team, there are a lot of individuals named as MOM candidates
