I don’t understand their expected take of £100,000 in gate receipts.

Taking a simple 15,000 @ £35 is £525,000 our share of that - 45% - is £236,250

OK not everybody will pay £35 but even with concessions it must be more than £100,000

Dunno, a fair proportion of people at football are probably either under 18 or over 65.  They could also be talking about the number after the costs associated with operating the stadium for that game.

So, well over half the gate receipt money disappears in costs? £236,000 gross turns into £100,000 net?

Nah

As a principle, you tend to pay more for any sporting event based on the quality of opposition or the occasion. I would expect to pay more for a cricket test match/ODI than a T20 at Bristol.

There have been numerous lowly opposition cup games discounted to £10 and lots of people making noise about reinstating the Nationwide employees offer. So you can't have it all one way.

There are a couple of gripes of charging £1    postage for a paper ticket when there's no other option to have it electronically.

I do feel the burden is falling on mostly the same group of regular 8,500 who have shown up every 2 weeks this season. Not sure there was any way to split prices when on general sale vs the loyalty schemes first or if FA Cup rules apply to charge the same for everyone.

Think our capacity is nearer 14K with the missing section in The Arkells and the block on Stratton Bank removed DRS end.

I mean we are talking 60k extra for the club here...(£10 extra per ticket, 15k tickets, 40%)

That and the quibbling over 140 partial refund from last year...

If it's that tight at the CG they are hiding it well and we should be worried

My favourite line was “we looked at Fan owned Newport who charged £30”.

yeah. I remember when they said 'keep my money' from the season before, and a bit of the season before that.

oh, wait

It will deffo mean more will put in for refunds now if we lose out ok any games, the good will has well & truly been lost!

Just because we have new owners, I don't see what will have materially changed to turn us from a loss making enterprise to anything more than break even at best?  We might be making a little more on gate receipts this season, but the costs of running a football club tend not to go down too much.
