Chelsea away in the something or other cup. Stood on that open bank with a 7000 crowd, in January, in a denim jacket. Was about minus 2.

That looks like a typical Port Vale away game !

That goal was on the "Best Ever" goals tape !

Back in the 70s and 80s we played with several inches of snow on the pitches with the orange ball, pussies nowadays.

I remember helping clear the snow off the pitch at the CG - and getting in free as reward

But nowadays they are more worried about snow on the terraces, and getting sued if someone falls over

That is unfortunately true, back in the 70 and 80s if you slipped up it was considered your own fault nowadays there would be a litigation process commencing.

I've done that a couple of times in recent years, got a pint after.

it's bloody knackering. Especially if it's frozen.

still, no chance of this being called off

The wind at 6am was crazy so reckon it would have been called off if it was as strong around lunchtime.

Whoops
Yeah my mate in Birmingham woke to about 2 inches of snow this morning, looks like the worst of it has missed Swindon though, we have no snow or rain in South Somerset just a littl cloudy and chilly, bad winds overnight but its eased a lot here now.

Looks like the County Ground should be fine judging by the pictures.
