No changes… shocking but not surprising.

Port Vale have a gameplan that is very much working so far, we are making a very average side look good because they all know their roles and how to pressure us into mistakes.

I think it's disrespectful to call PV very average. They've played a very effective high press, have moved the ball forward quickly and accurately and offer a big physical threat. Their passing for the goal was very sharp. They haven't done a lot wrong and we're lucky not to be further behind. I think sometimes you have to give the other side a bit of credit.

We still have to come up with a way to play it, and this side looks to have too much flair and not enough grit at the moment. A spine of Reed, Payne, Williams and Gilbert isn't going to bully anyone, and Gladwin is surprisingly lightweight in the challenge.

They have played very effectively but I will say now they will be mid table at the end of the season, they have a gameplan that they obviously know and most sides in this league will not be bullied by them as we have been.

1-1 Great move. Gladwin put Gilbert in on the right. Gilbert put it across the 6 yard line where Simpson came steaming in from the back post and side footed it into the net unchallenged.

Decent move between Williams and Gilbert but his cross is too close to the keeper.
