That was quite an entertaining watch, glad I watched it.

Aguiar the stand out performer, East did well as did Gilbert and Dabre, JML is a good player but struggles in front of goal.

Over all very impressed witht he youngsters, Ward could have done a bit better with the goal otherwise pretty faultless IMO.

Good run out against a young Arse side, saying that we had 4 players under 19 and a very young team, Gilbert 19, Parsons 18, Dabre 18, JML 21, Simpson 19, Aguiar 20, Odimayo 21, Critchlow 22, East 23.

One more win and we go into the next phase. Remind me who we have?

The distance this club has come in 6 weeks is staggering. Not only is the first XI good, the back-ups aren't bad either! Plenty of young players for a good coaching set up to work with.

Great perspective, and 2,500 odd for the Paint/Pizza Pot!

I think the game highlighted, again, our lack of a natural goalscorer.

A small thing, but did anyone notice how many foul throw ins Arsenal managed? Don’t they bother about these things nowadays?

Just watched the extended highlights. Looked very different to league football.Scruffy goals. Lots of time and space in midfield. Our players looked very small compared to theirs. Agree that we don't look strong up top. Thought Ward was lucky with the one that hit the post. Couldn't make sense of the MotM thread based on the highlights.

I paid to watch it and was pleasantly surprised. The game was played with intensity and a high press from both sides and the quality of our reserves was encouraging. I thought Dabre was a live wire. Simpson looked dangerous when he came on but I do feel like he often forced himself out wide rather than going towards goal. It is also encouraging to see that the winning mentality appears to be there regardless of the competition.

I agree totally, it appears that Garner does not share our view though.

Not that i care too much for the comp but it was good to see them playing a few key players and making the subs to win it. I quite liked that

Definately better than risking them from the start, I have no problem with Garner actually wanting to win games even if a lot of fans don't like this cup its still a 1st team game.
