I’ve heard it’s Ben Garner if anyone cares, with Scott Lindsey as assistant.
Probably absolute rubbish but it’s a name.

Which would cause a meltdown in some quarters, but I'll give him a chance first. Did poorly at Rovers but then so did his successor. Very difficult to judge really.

Quite.
His CV prior to Rovers is quite impressive, all be it as a number 2.

Yes, in 2016 I think.
Was U18 manager before that.

After a look on Rovers' thread, it seems Garner cocked up on recruitment and had an unbalanced squad. Hopefully if Clem gets a DOF he will offset that potential problem.

That's if it even is Garner, of course.

Whoever it is we need to give them a chance - remember some were less than enthusiastic about Wellens when he was announced.
I doubt John McGreal is still in the frame but someone like him would be ok - knows league 2, used to a tight budget and his teams played reasonable football.
A hoof ball merchant like Flitcroft would be a disaster.

garner, send a bit of a Williams appointment if it's him.

But as rightly pointed out - Wellens wasn't a popular choice. guilty as charged there

I'd get behind Garner. We've had so.msny washed up shit managers over the last few years it'd be nice to see a young manager with a point to prove again.

Decent article here https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/ben-garner-opens-up-very-5378191

Comes across well. Will have learned from mistakes also.
