That's sad news. Memories of the days when the Club was run properly. RIP Mr Spearman.

Very sad news. The very opposite of what we have today in charge of STFC. Always had time for the fans as he was one.

Lovely and genuine man, always welcomed fans on away games.  We went to Ipswich for a midweek game and my son was on crutches haviing broken his ankle playing footy, Mike was extremely concerned about him and said to ring the club if the physio could help him.  We never took him up on the offer but that ws the way he was.  RIP

Never met the man personally though I do know who we’re mourning today. Such lovely sentiments from the forum as well and as said we have clearly lost someone who if cut in half like seaside rock it would say Swindon Town Football Club. Your full time whistle has blown so RIP sir.
