Therein lies the problem, hes been playing much deeper coming back to win the ball rather than getting any service in the box which is what he thrives on.

Southgate is Mr Cautious (7 defensive players at home) but given what Germany did to Portugal in the groups is probably a sensible option. I can see us picking off Germany on the break but either way suspect a very very tight game.

Tend to agree this is the right way to start. Trick will be changing it at the right time and in the right way if it's not working. |
