The fact that the promoted teams from L2 are languishing in the bottom half of the table suggests that the standard of football in L1 is better after all.

Not disagreeing but, in the case of STFC, I would say that our L2 squad and manager were superior to this year's class.

Agreed but Crewe/Plymouth suggest that somewhere around 15th would have been the likely final position for that squad.
