We had our summers day on Friday 30 degrees followed by rain yesterday and a cool grey 17 degrees today!

Travelling over to the Emerald Isle for an 11 day Christmas break tomorrow, looking forward to the usual festive over feeding washed down with the best Guinness on the planet. I have to say (and it's probably because of the World Cup) that I'm not feeling the Christmas cheer just yet, i've only eaten 3 mince pies so far (that could be the reason!!) and been to a couple of Christmas parties which were good craic but hasn't really triggered anything festive in my bones!

If anyone has seen the film 'The banshees of Inisherin' where I am spending Christmas is where some of it was filmed. Stunning rugged Atlantic coastline with a bracing wind.

Craggy Island?

It basically is to be fair. It's called Achill Island but I could definitely see similarities with how Craggy Island was portrayed on Father Ted!
