Anyone know if there is any video of this game? A question on The Chase reminded me of this fantastic performance against a Fulham team with Best, Bobby Moore and Rodney Marsh. Went to the game at Craven Cottage and saw the draw and also the replay at the CG.

We were 3-1 up and they scored late goal to bring a replay.
Cracking support and McHale ran the show.
What great times.

I thought it was Rodney Marsh that was the target of the ditty, there was never any doubt about George Best

I think you're right now looking back but it was a long time ago!

I also went to both games.
In the first one, Rodney Marsh scored two, the first (which made it 1-1) I remember as being a brilliant goal - placed in the bottom corner from outside the box.
We were superb in ten replay as the score suggests.
In the next round, we drew1-1 away to West Ham and list the replay 2-1 - I remember their fans being a bit vicious in both ties.

A great 4 days, with the disappointment of the late equaliser at the Cottage more than compensated for.

I used to have a white and navy stripey Breton fisherman's beeny.

Was it any of you cunts that snatched it off my head as we were leaving the away end at full time?  I took a few kicks trying unsuccesfully to secure its return.   Angry

I didn't get in the ground until half time, on the Bank eventually.
Luckily, all the goals were in the second half, if I remember correctly.
My Dad spent the evening sat in the car, as he gave up trying to get in !

Great watch that. Proper footballs. Who can forget that terrace classic "You're gonna get your fucking 'eds kicked in"?

Jumpers for goalposts, isn't it?
