Sam Ricketts' grandfather used to play for the club. I'm not aware of any other grandfather/grandson ex-player duos. But maybe there are others.
My Great Great Uncle Jimmy played for Swindon and scored in his only 1st team game against Ilford in 1895. My Great Great Grandfather was a lay preacher at Christ Church in Old Town between 1875 and 1885 along with William Baker Pitt, as far as I know he had no input in the creation of the football club in 1879. |

My parents used to live next door to Martin Ling when he was a player and my mate bought Dave Hockadays house. Also Colin Calderwood, Fitzroy Simpson and Duncan Shearer lived on the same estate as me and I worked with Chris Kameras wife when I left school😀
