New TV

I'd quite happily do without a TV altogether. We have one, because the wife and kids use it, but I honestly don't think I have ever sat down to watch it myself.

I've watched movies and stuff but always on my PC.

If/when the plasma gives up the ghost, I suspect I will buy a new £200 jobbie.

Films/Movies (and gaming). A big screen (obviously cinema is unmatchable) is paramount for showcasing and viewing films at an optimum level. This matters to several folk and for the best experience, film should always be shown on a screen capable of the highest possible quality.

If some aren't so keen then each to their own but I wouldn't be telling others not to spend on something that might be most relevant for their own personal enjoyment.

If screen size is important, it might be worth visiting your local cinema when it reopens.

Read back... I mention cinema is the obvious choice but that isn't possible in the current world we live in. Film screenings should always be viewed in a cinema but if they can't then a large screen at home (preferably in one's own dedicated cinema room) should be the next best choice.

Funnily enough, we also have a Panasonic projector but rarely use it.  Cost a bomb a few years ago.
