How telling is that? As they go off the pitch the Wigan players acknowledge Sheridan, while all the Swindon players walk straight past him.

Awful game, Wigan even worse than us.
However, big win and fair play to the players, they dug in and worked their arses off to dig in and win that.

Well, three points. That's the thing. Wigan sound awful, not convinced we're good enough but it's a good start.

Well, what an awful game of football. We deserved the win by actually having a couple of shots on target. Both these teams will go down - we are getting progressively worse as a "team".
Hope and Pitman put in good shifts, Payne settled down and provided better cover second half. Travers is a massive upgrade on Kovar. Conroy was a fool. Odimayo looked very suspect first half - needs to learn more of the dark arts of defending. Thompson mixed bag - he started off so well at Ipswich, it's not taken too long to be ground down by this group. Masterson looks OK but he's not as commanding as he needs to be at times, let a few long balls bounce.
Overall, the win gives us a chance - everything else is screaming relegation.

Sure Wigan were Shit but very well done to STFC and actually JS on the night. You all fought like dogs. Payne and esp Hope really defended the STFC lhs tonight. again !

I've never been more convinced of a Swindon Town victory.
Sometimes the teams around you really are bad. Wigan woeful. Town better (dealt with the 35 minutes with 10 men really well/comfortably).

It’s almost as if a manager who has presided over 600 matches might just know what he is doing, funny that.
Season starts now for me - he’s had a transfer window, so let’s give it a real good go.
Huge three points.

Enjoy the win. A defeat wasn't going to result in JS being dismissed.

That was an absolute dog shit performance by town, against any other team we’d have lost. Masterson stepped up especially when convoy went off.

blood sweat and tears win. Fair play to the boys tonight they put in absolutely everything and more.
Let's forget the ownership and manager issues for tonight the boys deserve the plaudits. I cant remember travers making a save for all of the pressure we were under but he was fantastic from corners and free kicks.
those critical of the style- its 3 points I dont care. I would take Sheridan's hoof style for the remaining months if it kept us up. it's the fact he ripped up a passing team and the results remained the same/worse.
every player tonight ran there arses off in terrible weather, on a pitch cutting up in a 6 pointer battle. let's leave off the negativity for tonight atleast.

Great effort to hold out with the 10 men. Wigan helped out by not exactly going for it with any great intent.
Something to build on at least albeit baby steps.
