Rumours are circulating on Twitter that Noel Hunt is set to take over from Sheridan.
Make of that what you will.

He must have been shit hot in training to get ahead of Odimayo and even Grant need on what we've seen so far.
And Baudry as he's seemingly been bombed out now and possibly even Grounds although he may be injured. No one can tell me Curran is ahead of those 4 on merit, it's just absolutely farcical. Whilst he can't directly be blamed on the defeat it didn't exactly help our cause and can't be easy for the other players playing alongside someone that is in no way a professional footballer, you could see during the game passing the ball to him was a last resort decision. Curran has been in every single matchday squad this season including cups...... Bizarre! Rumours are circulating on Twitter that Noel Hunt is set to take over from Sheridan.

He was at the match but that STFCboo character reckons he was looking at Lyden for Salford as he's doing scouting work for them so who knows.

Why would they have to scout a player they already know?

Who knows, see if he’s fit again? Anyway if it was with a view to taking over then at least he knows the players names and isn’t Sheridan so it’s already an improvement.

I suppose he knows the players so it would save us from having to start gain with someone that didn't know the players, and Hunt knows what the players are capable off ,and with a few additions coming in to strengthen make help. Let's be honest he cant do worse you would guess it will be another until end of the season if this is correct and he may get the players wanting to play for him unlike seemingly Sheridan where it has been rumoured players don't like or respect him. I wouldn't be against Hunt's appointment short term, it would be odd with him having quit a few weeks back he is brought back as caretaker until end of the season, it smacks of desperation and would certainly show us as the basket case the club currently is. If this is going to happen lets hope it is soon though try and get a bit of leadership off the pitch. Sheridan must know Power, as he was appointed Waterford manager who Power owns so must have had dealings there as well.

Never looked like Hunt and Sheridan got on but can’t see Hunt coming back just for a few months - he’d want, quite rightly, a half decent contract.

But it is a foot in the door of management. If he does well he'd likely be given a new contract.

good point.
Is it?! If a player you are interested in signing is just coming back from injury, it’s basic due diligence to watch them to see if they have fully recovered/they look as good as they did when you last saw them.

I was wondering why he would require scouting but as he has been coming back from an injury you maybe don't get a full idea on his mobility etc without actually being at the ground to see how he gets across the pitch with and without the ball?

Surely that’s what medicals are for. Dont scout players you already know well.
