Don’t get the obsession with Nelson, he wasn’t even that good. Most of his ‘blocks’ were due to his poor positioning and he couldn’t pass a ball to save his life. |

At the moment we don't have anyone that will die for the cause at least he had the scars to show for his comittment alone! |

So because we're losing in the tin pot trophy with a competition winner at CB, RW should change the way we use our CBs and go out and get a kick out head it lump.
Sure.
There are 5 CBS ahead of Curran. We have exactly 2 CMs with a future here. We do not need, nor should we get, more CBs and we certainly shouldn't be looking at Sid Nelson, or anyone else in that mould. We're trying to get rid of the one we've got!

Does anyone actually know the deal with his contract arrangements? All I can imply from stuff on here is that Power knows his Dad, so has agreed to let his son have a squad place (and a 3 year contract) likely for peanuts. Doesn’t exactly seem to be a sensible approach to running a football club....

This for me, what he lacked in overall quality he had commitment. We just don't have any defender that will defend like that. Anyway its pointless as Wellens won't try and sign him as he prefers ball playing defenders that don't have that trait. |

Agreed Pete although he was a committed type but Wellens has made it clear he's not an option |
