Matt Smith needs some work - talent, but he needs to build that match experience, he's a bit all over the place trying to get involved.
He looks lively and his passing is good, his positioning is a bit off but he has pace and can dribble too. He looked better when playing on the left side of midfield 1st half though. Promising. |

Pitman looked like a player who had not been on a football pitch for a long time, BUT, his instincts look good. Tough to tell, but I think he will be a good player for us. |

Good run out this. Some more minutes in the legs of key players and a few fringe at best players doing their case serious harm, just in time to avoid us thinking we can rely on them.
Shown a few of the players that need some more work on the training pitch.
All in all, best outcome for us I think.
