Nelson was awful with his feet though. We need all 11 players on the pitch to be ball players or our whole way of playing doesn't work. The odds on finding a powerful ball playing centre back at this level is slim to none, they be in demand in much at a much higher standard. The lack of height is a compromise we have to make to play the way we do.
Shaun taylor was not good with his feet but all he has to do is win the ball and give the ball to a player who can pass a ball.

But defenders who are good with their feet and head are pretty rare.

Shot by Charlton from 25 yards but easily saved by Kovac.

Different style now though, back then you didn't have ball playing keepers and short goal kicks all the time. To work every player needs to be an option on the ball.

Lovely move starting with Grants turn frees Payne who finds Doughty and his cross hits a defender out for a corner to Town.

Odimayo and Iandolo at fault with that, the keeper had no chance.

Anyone able to watch this in iFollow on a laptop? It works on my phone, but just hangs on my laptop. And, obviously, no response from support on the chat function First time I've tried using iFollow and not impressed at all
