Liverpool away in the League Cup 1980. Anyone have the wheels left on their car after the game.

Reminds me of the joke going around my school at that time.

Why does the Mersey run through Liverpool? Because if it walked it would be mugged.

To celebrate the opening of the Leeds - Liverpool canal, they let the people of Leeds choose the barges & the people of Liverpool pick the locks.

Lewedorpse Boys FC.
Swindon trained on there pitch, prior to playing in the Borsele trophy.

Limerick & Longford. 2 of the 4 matches on Town's post - season tour of the Republic of Ireland in 1986 as Div 4 Champs.
Waterford away anyone? Has their summer season been cancelled?

Russell Lewis.
Not everyone’s cup of tea but put in a good shift over 7 seasons with the club.

Néstor Lorenzo.
Went up in the world, from the Stadio Olimpico to casually chipping it around at the County Ground.
Seemingly not breaking sweat, but in a good way.

Massimo Luongo.
Very good player but with a rubbish exit strategy.
I’d like to think that was down to his agent and not him.

Des Linton.
His impact in 8 appearances in 1999 was such that I’ve no recollection of him at all.
Apparently he played in the 6-0 home defeat against Ipswich (who found out that playing against 10 wasn’t more difficult).
